Telehealth psychological support for anxiety, available Australia wide.
Book an appointmentAnxiety can show up as constant worry, a mind that won't switch off, or a heaviness that follows you through the day. It might centre on your health, on social situations, or seem to jump from one thing to the next without ever settling. Left alone, anxiety can start to take up more and more space, shaping the choices you make and the things you avoid. Compassionate and evidence-based psychological treatment can help you manage anxiety and reduce the control anxiety has on your life.
What anxiety can look like
Anxiety shows up in many ways. Some of the most common presentations of anxiety include:
General anxiety
Worry that feels like it never stops, it can be about anything and everything, your mind might feel busy, like it's never able to switch off. It often comes with physical symptoms, such as a feeling of restlessness or tension in your body, maybe a sick feeling in your stomach or a struggle to feel like you can take a relaxed, deep breath.
Social anxiety
A fear of being judged, embarrassed, or scrutinised by others, which can make everyday life so difficult. Social anxiety can cause significant distress, often leading to avoidance of many or all social situations.
Health anxiety
Persistent worry about your health, often overthinking any and every symptom, frequently checking or scanning your body for anything that looks or feels off, constant googling of symptoms, many doctors appointments seeking reassurance, or even complete avoidance of the doctor out of fear of what they might find.
How I work with anxiety
I take an integrative approach to help you manage your anxiety, so it takes up less space in your life and you're able to do more of the things that matter to you. Depending on the person and the anxiety they're experiencing, I often draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and/or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), both of which have strong evidence bases for treating anxiety.
Who this is for
I work with adults and adolescents (15+) experiencing anxiety in any of its forms, Australia-wide. No referral is needed to book. Medicare rebates may be available to those with a referral and care plan from their GP.
